The ZR-1 just got rear-ended and is also having a ton of issues right now with the vacuum system, oil leaks, HVAC, and it’s time to replace the FX3 adjustable ride system that some putz removed in a previous life, so...I decided to try something new! Literally in every sense other than it still having four wheels!

It was a hard choice between this and the Golf R, the latter of which would have been a smarter purchase and manual but...I like this too much:

The GTI also made an excellent case for itself.

It really is the perfect size. It was between this and the M2 on the local BMW lot (that was a cancelled order...sad day), but...I drove an M240i and the steering was completely dead and fuck me the rest of the controls were unbelievably obtuse.

It’s so smooth it’s jarring. The ZR-1 is an event every drive and at any speed, but this makes reaching go-to-jail velocities feel positively mundane! Mind = blown.
